COSTUMES

Costumes are highly encouraged! Please read and adhere to the following guidelines:

Costume Rules and Guidelines

All costumes, props, and associated costume accessories are subject to inspection by Security and/or Event Staff.

Masks

If your costume includes a costume mask (defined as anything that covers one’s face), you must receive approval to enter the venue/event.

Costumes featuring a costume mask must be removable with ease. That is, in the event that the attendee must be identified, a costume must not interfere due to its permanent nature.

If your costume does not include a costume mask, then you do not need to obtain an approval.

Costume Props and Weapons

All costume props and weapons must conform to state and federal law.

Projectile costume props and weapons must be rendered inoperable.

Functional (real) arrows must have their tips removed and be bundled and zip-tied to a quiver.

Costume swords, must be tied to your costume in such a way that they can’t be drawn.

Costumes featuring stilts must be approved by the event staff.

At certain times, due to crowd and safety issues, people in oversized costumes may be asked to leave the venue.

If you are not open to having your costume, props, and/or associated costume accessories inspected, or if you are not willing to comply with these policies, please do not bring your costume, props, and/or associated costume accessories to the event.

The Event Coordinator and The Venue reserve the right to change or modify any policy or rule at any time and without notice.
